Get your photo with the most famous and most photographed inanimate object in Key West! You really can't miss this one...it's a MUST DO when in Key West. Yes, it marks the Southernmost Point in the Continental United States, and yes, it's only 90 miles to Cuba! Drink a mojito before you get there and maybe you'll see Cuba on the horizon...
To enjoy some quality time with Key West's most famous attraction, Go early in the morning or after dark! It's super busy during the day with a long line to wait for a quality picture, especially when there's a cruise ship in port.

Ya can't miss Sloppy Joes! It's the center of the town center here in Key West! Made famous by Ernest Hemingway, Sloppy Joe's boasts a great crowd, great atmosphere, and great live music every day! Have some food to soak up the alcohol, and have loads of fun at Sloppy Joe's! Try their new Key Lime Vodka!!
Some of the musicians are local, some are here visiting - all are very talented! Look for Paul who wears the fun socks and tell him you saw Sloppy Joe's on my website! He'll probably give you a hug! lol

Visit the Hemingway Home and take the guided tour! You'll learn more than you knew you wanted to know about Ernest Hemingway's adventurous life. He was famous when he lived here, and the tour guides share some great stories of his time in Key West. There are more than 50 cats that live here, so if you love cats, you'll love this place! You need about 45 minutes here, maybe a little more. It's a lovely home with lovely gardens and tons of history.
Check the cruise ship schedule and try to visit when there is no ship in port, except American Cruise Lines. It's a small ship, so if that's the only one, it won't affect the number of people visiting this attraction.

It's the beginning and the end of US Highway 1, right here in Key West. 2,369 miles up the road is where you'll find Ft Kent, Maine and Canada, and of course, another landmark! It's a long, slow, longest North-South road in the United States!
Get your photo here, on both sides of Whitehead St Why is it located here? The road technically ends at the County Courthouse.
The sign has been stolen several times over the years! It probably wound up in someone's backyard tiki bar!

It's magical to me - every time I visit the Butterfly Conservatory. Butterflies are everywhere flitting about the greenhouse full of birds big and small, hiding among the beautifully manicured plants. I'm certain you will fall in love with the two lovely flamingos, Rhett and Scarlett. Plan on about 45 minutes plus time for shopping in the best gift shop in Key West!
See if you can find the staghorn fern! I donated it to them about 7 years ago when I didn't have a suitable outdoor space to keep it. It was a gift from my mom, originally from my grandmother's plant. I call her Ms Stag.
